John Haynes' primary practice involves the development, acquisition, financing, leasing and sale of institutional quality investment properties throughout the United States, with a special emphasis on serving German clients. John has assisted many German investors with various deal structures, including fee simple purchases, ground leases, master leases and joint ventures with owners and developers who are based in the United States. He is one of Bradley's delegates to AFIRE, the Association for Foreign Investment in Real Estate.

John has served as one of the lead counsel in negotiations with state and local officials for incentives associated one of the new largest industrial projects in Tennessee. He has participating in drafting, revising and amending several state laws relating to tax increment financing, economic development, green energy and tax credits. In addition, John has served as counsel to a public redevelopment agency and has been involved in many redevelopment projects that have utilized a variety of incentives including tax increment financing, tax exempt bonds. tax abatements and payment in lieu of tax agreements.

John also has experience in the development and financing of affordable and low income housing, including projects financed with bonds, low income housing tax credits and various state and federal grants, including HOME and HOPE VI Revitalization Grants.

John regularly represents developers, public agencies, owners, property managers and lenders. He has also represented international companies who have elected to locate facilities in Tennessee.
